The scope of application of torque motor:
Used in the many machinery industries , such as machine manufacture, textile, paper, rubber, plastic, metal wire and cable wire, also printing machine. The operator should roll it on the reel. The winding diameter will become bigger and bigger, in order to keep uniform tension(linear velocity),it will require smaller reel rotational speed, the smaller reel rotational speed is ,the bigger the winding force is.
Characteristics of torque motor:
It has many characteristics ,such as low rotational speed, big torque, big overload, quick response ,good linearity and small torque fluctuation . It can drive the load directly , and drive gear to run at low speed, then improve the system running precision.
Summary of torque motor:
Torque motor is a kind of special motor with soft mechanical characteristics and wide speed range. This motor shaft takes the constant torque as output power, but not constant energy.
Principle of torque motor:
When the load is increased , the motor rotational speed will decrease automatically, but the output torque increases to keep balance with load. The motors stalling torque is high, stall current is small, but it can stall run for a certain period. Because of the high rotor resistance, the wastage is big, and it will produce large heat. Especially when it runs in low speed and stall running. Then , the axil flow fan or centrifugal fan will be installed on the motors rear cover(the output torque is 100, or smaller than it), and used to vertilation and cooling . The torque motor is installed with thyristor installation used to adjust pressure and speed. The speed range can reach 1:4, the rotational speed cariation is equal or less than 10%.
